No 10 1st April

A Word From the Principal

The end of our first Term in 2021 is now drawing to a close. It was fantastic to be able to have parents on site for our special assembly and thank you all for keeping your distance from each other.

It has been a busy term with painting and carpet laying completed, a new School Council elected, visits from the dentist and optometrist, district sports and swimming carnival events as well as getting on with catching up on the learning missed last year. Breakfast Club began again along with playgroup and Teach Inspiring Minds. It is so good to have these programs back again.

Next term we have District Field Athletics for the older children, swimming lessons for the younger children, Mother's Day Morning Tea, school photos, NAPLAN, Musica Viva and McClelland Encounters. Things are looking busy all ready!

All of our children have been fantastic and settled in very quickly, including our new preps. The children are all now very tired as are our staff.

It is time for everyone to have a well earned break. Be careful on the roads and we are looking forward to seeing you all back next term on Monday 19th April.

Academic Endeavour Awards Term 1 2021

Congratulations to all of our Academic Endeavour Award recipients for Term 1. These awards are given to children who have worked hard during the term and shown perseverance and improvement. They have also shown responsibility in what they have been doing in regards to their school work. Well done!

Easter Bonnet Parade

It was lovely to see so many parents and carers at our special assembly this morning. It is great that we can have you back on site. The children enjoyed showing their bonnets to you and loved having you join into the Easter Bunny Hokey Pokey. Take a look at some of our photos on the Easter Bonnet Parade gallery.

2021 District Athletics Carnival

How children competed well with spirit and brought home a few ribbons. Take a peek at the 2021 District Athletics Carnival gallery.

McClelland College's Virtual Open Night

McClelland College are having a Virtual Open Night.

From Andrew Harms, Assistant Principal

We are doing our Open Night a little differently this year and will be running a virtual experience. Due to the large numbers, we traditionally get at our Open Night we feel it will be a safer option in the current Covid climate. When parents/guardians sign-up for the Virtual Open Night it locks them into a small group school tour post the virtual event (so we feel they get the best of both worlds).
