I hope you are enjoying these sunny spring days! As you will know, it can be extremely difficult for families caring for a child with additional needs/disabilities to navigate these current restrictions, particularly with regard to caregiving, respite, NDIS, remote learning, etc.

Please see this link from the Association for Children with a Disability (ACD) which steps out the disability-specific Covid-19 information for families- https://www.acd.org.au/covid-19-latest-information/ This page is being constantly updated as new information becomes available. They also have a support phone line (ph: 9880 7000) and can take calls from families or schools to discuss specific needs and circumstances.

Also, the Department are hosting a free online webinar for families on Sept 15^th @7:30pm, “Managing the Coronacoaster” presented by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg. This aims to build families’ resilience and give practical skills, knowledge and resources for navigating these unprecedented times.
