A Word From the Principal

Everyone keeps asking us when there children will be back at school but we don't know. There is a lot of speculation in regard to the end of Stage 4 Restrictions and children returning to school. We do not know when your child will be returning. My advice to everyone is to wait until I send you an email. As I have always said, when I know, you will know. DET has not made any announcements and they won't until they have had guidance from DHHS. Hopefully, if everyone does the right thing and numbers keep falling we will see the children next term. If you need to talk to me about this please contact the office.

Stay safe,

Kerryn Riley

News From the Wellbeing Hub

Hi all,

I hope you are enjoying these sunny spring days! As you will know, it can be extremely difficult for families caring for a child with additional needs/disabilities to navigate these current restrictions, particularly with regard to caregiving, respite, NDIS, remote learning, etc.

Please see this link from the Association for Children with a Disability (ACD) which steps out the disability-specific Covid-19 information for families- https://www.acd.org.au/covid-19-latest-information/ This page is being constantly updated as new information becomes available. They also have a support phone line (ph: 9880 7000) and can take calls from families or schools to discuss specific needs and circumstances.

Also, the Department are hosting a free online webinar for families on Sept 15th @7:30pm, “Managing the Coronacoaster” presented by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg. This aims to build families’ resilience and give practical skills, knowledge and resources for navigating these unprecedented times. Families can follow this link to book in- https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/managing-the-coronacoaster-tips-for-building-resilient-families-registration-117927100131

Have a great day!
