Grade 6 Graduation, Academic Excellence Awards and Student Leaders for 2026

Last Friday night the 13th of December KHPS held our Academic Excellence Awards, the 2026 School Captains, Leaders and Sports Captains were announced and we farewelled our Grade 6 students.

The celebration began with the presentation of our Academic Excellence Awards.  These awards recognise students who have shown consistent effort, a positive attitude to learning and outstanding achievement throughout the year.  We congratulate all recipents for their dedication and commitment to their learning.

We then proudly announced our 2026 School Captains and Student Leaders.  These students were chosen for their responsibility, teamwork and willingness to lead by example.  We look forward to seeing them grow in their roles as they support our staff and students.  Congratulations!

Finally the spotlight turned to our Grade 6 students, as we celebrated their graduation.  This special moment marked the end of the students' primary school journey and celebrated how much they have grown during their time with us.  Many proud family members, friends, and staff came to honor the achievements and growth of our graduating class.

On behalf of our school community, we would like to congratulate all of our 2025 Grade 6 students on all they have achieved during their time at primary school and wish them all the best for their futures.

We also farewell the Gavin, Hearsum, King, Naidu and Rangi-Clark families and thank them for being a part of the KHPS school community.

All of our Grade 6 students will be missed at school, but we are excited to see them begin their new journeys.  Congratualtions and Farewell!

School Notice Board - 19th December 2025

2025 Thank You

Another year has come to a close at KHPS, and what a fantastic year it has been.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of the students at KHPS for their positive behaviour, enthusiastic attitudes, and commitment to their learning throughout the year. You continue to make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow.

A special thank you to the dedicated staff at KHPS, who work tirelessly to ensure our school remains a welcoming, supportive, and high-quality learning environment for every child. Your care, professionalism, and passion make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.

I would also like to thank our incredible parent community for their ongoing support and generosity. Whether volunteering in classrooms, assisting around the school, organising fundraising activities, preparing meals, hosting events, or contributing to gardening and maintenance, your involvement plays a vital role in the success of our school.

As we look ahead to next year, there are many exciting opportunities awaiting our students. I look forward to working closely with you all as we continue to support each child on their learning journey.

Kind regards,
Jeremy Bodley

Thank You and Farewell

As we come to the end of the year, we would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank two valued staff members who will be moving on to new roles in 2026.

We congratulate John O’Donovan-Shultz, who has worked with us as an Education Support staff member and has now completed his teaching degree. John has secured a teaching position at Botanic Ridge, a wonderful achievement. We thank him for his dedication, support of students, and positive contribution to our school community, and wish him every success as he begins his teaching career.

We also extend our warm thanks and congratulations to Lucinda Vapp, who has been our Tutor Learning teacher. Lucinda has played an important role in supporting student learning and confidence, and her commitment and care have been greatly valued. Lucinda will be moving into a full-time teaching position at Ballam Park, and we wish her all the very best in this next step.

Annual Family Fun Night & Christmas Carols

On Wednesday night, the 10th of December we held our annual Family Fun Night and Christmas Carols.  It was a wonderful celebration filled with festive cheer and laughter.  Families, friends, students, and staff came together for a joyful evening to mark the end of another fantastic school year.

The school grounds were buzzing with excitement as children enjoyed a variety of fun activities and games. A very special visit from Santa was a highlight, bringing big smiles, excitement, and plenty of Christmas magic for our students and families.

Once the games and activities wrapped up, our students took to the stage to sing Christmas Carols.  Our performers did an outstanding job and made their teachers and families extremely proud.

During the evening, our Christmas raffle was drawn, adding even more excitement to the night.  Congratulations to all of our raffle winners, and thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported the raffle.

Thank you to all the families who attended and helped make the night such a success, and a special thank you to our talented performing art teacher, Mrs. Freeman, for organising the wonderful songs and performances!

School Choir Spreads Christmas Cheer

On Monday the 15th of December, our school choir headed out on a special excursion to Bayside Shopping Centre in Frankston, where they performed Christmas carols for shoppers and families.  The choir sang a range of festive favourites, filling the centre with Christmas cheer.  Many shoppers and families stopped to listen and enjoy the songs.

The students did a fantastic job and represented our school proudly, singing confidently and spreading plenty of Christmas cheer throughout the centre.  It was a fantastic opportunity for them to perform in the community and share the spirit of Christmas with others.

A big thank you to our Performing Arts teacher, Mrs Freeman, for all the hard work and time she put in to preparing the choir and well done to our choir for spreading so much Christmas joy!

Grade 6 Students Celebrate the end of Primary School 2025!

As the year draws to a close, our Grade 6 students recently celebrated the end of their primary school journey with a well deserved and action packed Fun Day in Frankston.  It was a fantastic way to mark their final year at primary school and enjoy some special time together.

The day began with a walk around Frankston, where students enjoyed exploring and admiring the colourful street art in the laneways and public spaces.  From there, everyone headed to Beauty Park for a relaxing morning tea and a chance to recharge.

Next stop was General Public for some bowling.  There were plenty of laughs, cheers, and impressive throws.  Once again, Mr Hurford showed his bowling skills, beating the Grade 6 students with an impressive score of 159 and three strikes!  A special mention goes to Alby, who came in second with a score of 128 and three strikes.  An amazing effort for his very first time bowling!

After bowling, students spent time in the arcade enjoying various games and challenges before heading for a walk to the grassed area near the beach.  This was the perfect spot for a break, something to eat, some time to relax together, and even some rolling down the hills!  The group then returned to the arcade to use up the last of their credit before heading home.

It was a fun, memorable day filled with laughter and friendship, and a wonderful way for our Grade 6 students to celebrate the end of their primary school years.  We wish them all the very best as they prepare for the exciting new chapter ahead.

While the Grade 6 students were out and about, the rest of the school also enjoyed a special treat.  Everyone headed to Village Cinemas to watch Zootopia 2.  This was a wonderful way for the younger students to celebrate the end of the year.
