Mini Fete Fun!

On Thursday the 11th of September our schools' multipurpose room was buzzing with excitement as our senior school students ran a very successful Mini Fete.  Students had been planning this event for a few weeks, putting in a lot of organisation and preparation to make sure the day ran smoothly.  They took charge of everything - from designing stall signs and setting prices, to setting up, welcoming customers and running the activities.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, with stalls including temporary tattoos, guess the lollies, finger painting, popcorn, lucky duck, milkshakes, bracelets, second-hand toys and books, pot painting, and the always popular frog in a pond.  The students showed fantastic teamwork, responsibility, and creativity, making sure each stall was fun and well organised.

The afternoon was a huge success, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and delicious treats.  Even better, the Mini Fete raised approximately $900, which will go towards upgrading our playground, helping to create an even better space for the students to enjoy.

A big thank you to all the students for their hard work and enthusiasm, and also our wonderful staff for helping the Mini Fete come to life.  It was a fantastic afternoon!

Term 3 wrap up

As we come to the end of Term 3, I would like to thank everyone for their continued support. It has been another full and rewarding term, with many rich learning opportunities and special events taking place alongside classroom learning.

We began the term by contributing to National Schools Tree Day and enjoyed coming together for a whole-school Teddy Bear Picnic. Students also recognised National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day, participated in two cooking sessions per grade, and represented our school at the basketball Lightning Premiership. Excursions to the high school, our Father’s Day stall and breakfast, the classroom fete, and Footy Day added to the busy calendar.

Throughout the term we also marked important occasions such as Science Week, Anti-Bullying Week, and Book Week. A special thank you goes to our Fundraising Committee for organising three wonderful special lunches, which were enjoyed by both students and staff.

It has been a term filled with learning, connection, and celebration. I hope our students have enjoyed these experiences, and I look forward to all that Term 4 will bring.

Swooping Birds update

We have been working with Melbourne Wildlife and Pest Control to help manage the presence of Grey Butcherbirds around our school grounds.

As these birds are a protected native species, any management must be carried out under the correct authorisation. The school has sought and received approval to safely trap the birds causing concern.

To ensure this process is as effective as possible, the trapping will take place once we are certain the birds are nesting. This timing gives us the best opportunity to address the issue thoroughly and minimise future disruptions.

Prep 2026 Enrolments Open
If you have a child starting in Foundation (Prep) for 2026 or know of a family that has a 2026 prep age child, enrolments are open.

Could you please contact the school to collect enrolment forms?

Footy Colours Day 2025!

On Friday morning, our school was bursting with colour, excitement and footy spirit as we celebrated Footy Day!  Students arrived proudly wearing their favourite team colours.  There were team jumpers, scarves, guernseys, hats and painted faces turning the school into a sea of colour.

The morning kicked off with a colourful Footy Parade, with the students marching around the BER showing off their team colours with pride and cheering loudly when their team song was played.  Many different footy codes such as AFL, Rugby, Soccer and local sporting clubs were represented.

After the parade everyone joined in a range of footy themed activities organised by 5/6H.  Students had the chance to try their skills at marking and handballing, dash their way through the footy racetrack, test their aim in kick the stick, and show off their speed and agility in game like Footy Ninja and Angry Ogre.

Footy Day was a fantastic way to wrap up the term!
