Father's Day Breakfast 2025

On Friday morning, our school was filled with the delicious smell of sizzling bacon and eggs as we celebrated our annual Father's Day Breakfast.  It was wonderful to see so many dads, grandfathers and special friends come along to share the morning with our students.

Everyone enjoyed the freshly cooked bacon and egg rolls, while spending time together before the busy school day began.

We hope all our dads and special friends have a wonderful Father's Day on Sunday filled with love and appreciation.

Father's and Special Person Stall
A special thank you to all the helpers who made the Father's and Special Person Stall such a success.
There will be some very greatful people on Sunday for the efforts you have put in.

Hopefully there are lots of sleep-ins, breakfasts in bed and families having a special day.

Swooping Birds update
For the past few weeks, the butcher birds have been starting to nest in the school grounds. The area with the most activity is near the gazebo. The tree with the green brick planter bed is most likely home base.

To manage the swooping bird situation at the school, we ask that:
* Students wear broad brim hats outside.
* Everyone avoid travelling past the tree unless in a larger group. Pairs or individuals to travel close to the building or through the corridors.
* Everyone remind others to keep an eye out.

We are currently seeking options to control the swooping bird situation.

Prep 2026 Enrolments Open
If you have a child starting in Foundation (Prep) for 2026 or know of a family that has a 2026 prep age child, enrolments are open.

Could you please contact the school to collect enrolment forms?

THURSDAY 11th OF SEPTEMBER!

Cooking with Debbie - Baked Cocktail Frankfurts

This week our wonderful volunteer Debbie joined us once again in the kitchen to share another fun cooking experience with the students.  On the menu were delicious cocktail frankfurts wrapped in bread with cheese and baked to golden perfection.

Each student began by rolling their slice of bread flat, then spreading on a little butter.  Next came a slice of cheese and the all important frankfurt.  The children carefully rolled it all up, secured it with a toothpick, and placed it in the oven to bake until golden.

The results were delicious!  A big thank you again to Debbie for sharing her time, skills, and recipes with us once again.

Make sure you try this super easy lunch or snack recipe at home!

Basketball Lightening Premiership 2025

Last week, some of our Grade 5 and 6 students represented KHPS at the Basketball Lightening Premiership.  It was a great day filled with energy, teamwork and lots of fast paced action on the court.

Although our teams didn't come away with a win, they showed great determination and resilience, playing hard right until the final siren in every game.  Their efforts kept the other schools on their toes, proving that it's not just about the score, but giving it your best and supporting each other.

Congratulations to all our players for representing KHPS with such enthusiasm, teamwork and a never give up attitude throughout the day!

A Big Thank You To Kourtney!

We would like to say a huge thank you to one our wonderful parents, Kourtney, for volunteering her time and incredible talent to paint the most amazing mural in our playgroup room.

The mural has completely transformed the space, creating a bright and welcoming environment for our youngest learners to enjoy.  Kourtney's creativity attention to detail has brought the wall to life, and we are so grateful for the many hours she gave so generously to make this possible.

Thanks you, Kourtney, your work will be admired and enjoyed for many years to come!
