Prep Students Harvest a Giant Zucchini!

Our Prep students had an exciting surprise in the school garden this week when they discovered a giant zucchini hiding among the schools vegetable gardens leaves!  The children were amazed at its enormous size and worked together to carefully pick it from the garden.

With such a huge zucchini, there was only one thing to do, get cooking!  The Preps washed their hands ready to help make zucchini slice.  They had fun grating and mixing the ingredients before popping it in the oven to bake.  Best of all, they got to enjoy the tasty results!

This hands on experience was a wonderful way for our youngest learners to explore where food comes from and try something new.  Well done Preps!
