Brainstorm Productions 2025

On Tuesday morning we were excited to welcome back Brainstorm Productions to our school for another fantastic educational theatre performance, this time about being brave!

Change, bullying, loss, and other stressful life events can have a huge impact on children's wellbeing and behaviour.  When faced with challenges, they start to worry about themselves, their family, and the world around them.  These worries can affect confidence, friendships, and the ability to cope with everyday situations.

The Being Brave live performance followed the story of a young boy, Fly, whose parents have separated.  He misses his dad deeply but keeps his feelings bottled up, trying to be brave on his own.  Along the way Fly meets Isha who was forced to come to a new country, Tim who is being bullied, Billie who is learning to face her fears, Mrs. Russo who wants to connect safely online with her family and Celia who is coming to terms with a loss in her family.  Through these connections, Fly discovers the true meaning of being brave - sharing stories, showing feelings, holding on to memories and living life.

With interactive storytelling, music and drama, this live show gives students positive strategies to cope with emotions and adapt to change at school, at home and online.
