The Olympic Dream Concert 2024
We are so thrilled at how successful our school concert 'The Olympic Dream' was on Wednesday night. The concert was a spectacular showcase of our students' talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
From the moment the curtains opened, it was clear that the students had truly embraced the spirit of the Olympics. Each performance was filled with energy and creativity. The concert featured a variety of performances, including lively dances, powerful songs and dramatic skits, all inspired by the Olympic Games.
We would like to thank everyone who helped make this concert possible. Our dedicated teachers and staff put in countless hours to ensure every detail was perfect.
Finally we would like to congratulate our students for their outstanding performances. It was wonderful to see the smiles on their faces as they took to the stage.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the concert. We hope that 'The Olympic Dream' will remain a cherished memory.
Father's Day Breakfast 2024
We would like to wish all the amazing men a very special Father's Day this Sunday, and we hope our students spoil you with lots of love and kidness.

 Dear parents/carers/grandparents, Thank you for supporting our whole school concert. It was a fantastic night and the children have been buzzing at school. An attempt to provide a link to the video was made on Thursday 29/8. However, it did not work very well. The length of the video and the school creating a new account is what was causing the problem. The video will be back up and running with instructions on how to access the link as soon as possible. If you wish to get a copy put on a USB, please bring one to the office and see Victoria Freeman or Jeremy Bodley. | |
School Hats To Be Worn Again | |
| School hats are needed from now until the end of the school year, if students wish to have open play time. Students without hats will be able to play under the covered synthetic grassed area. |  |
Annual Father's Day Breakfast | |
| What a wonderful school community we have at KHPS. The fathers, grandfathers and special family members who attended the Father's Day Breakfast packed the library. Those bacon and egg rolls must of been good because they went fast! |  |

School Saving Bonus
Dear parents and carers,
In Term 4, 2024, families with a child enrolled in a government school from Prep to Year 12 in 2025 will receive the one-off $400 School Saving Bonus.
The $400 School Saving Bonus provides families with support for education-related costs, such as school activities and/or school uniforms and textbooks.
The School Saving Bonus is not available for full-fee international students, home schooled students, TAFE students and students attending kindergarten in 2025.
Actions for parents and carers
Before 18 October 2024, the Department of Education is asking parents and carers to:
- Check your contact information: Ensure your email address and phone number is up to date with us. You can check this information by contacting us directly or resend your most current details using the form below.
- Complete enrolment: If your child, or children are changing government school for Term 1 2025, or starting Prep or Year 7 in 2025. For more information, read about Enrolling in School.
We need to ensure your contact information is up to date as the Department of Education will email you twice:
- in October, to verify your email address
- in November, with your $400 School Saving Bonus.
Please check your junk mail regularly to make sure you do not miss an important email.

Book Week 2024
Book week 2024 is next week! The theme for this year is 'Reading is Magic!' Book Week is a great opportunity for everyone at our school to celebrate the joy of reading books.
One of the highlights of Book Week is of course our annual costume parade which will be held on Thursday 5th September. This is a chance to dress up as your favourite book character for the day. Whether you choose a hero, magical creature or fairytale princess, the possibilities are endless!

Book Club Issue 6
Book Club provides families with affordable and convenient ways to bring the best in children's literature into their homes. Each issue contains curated, age-appropriate titles carefully selected and levelled by a dedicated team of professional book lovers.

A paper catalogue was sent home on Wednesday.
Just a reminder that orders are due back by 6th September via Scholastic Loop online ordering system or by bringing the order form which is in the catalogue back to school in a sealed envelope.
Orders will be delivered to school and distributed to the students. There is also a GIFT function which you can select if you prefer orders to be sent to the front office for secret collection!
For every Book Club order placed, Scholastic gives back 15% of the order value to our school to purchase valuable educational resources via its Scholastic Rewards program.
