City Camp 2024

On Wednesday the 31st of July we welcomed our 4/5/6 students back from their amazing adventure at CYC City Camp!  The camp was filled with memorable experiences and many learning opportunities.

Our students had a blast exploring the city and visiting iconic landmarks such as the Shrine of Remembrance, the MCG and Sports Museum, Queen Victoria Market, Icehouse, ArtVo, Eureka Skydeck and the Aquarium.

CYC City Camp was a wonderful experience for our 4/5/6 students and the KHPS staff who went along were really proud of how well they represented our school and their positive attitudes throughout the trip.

The camp itinerary was jam packed with fun activities from morning to night.  With so much action the students no doubt slept well when back at home in their own beds!

We have compiled a photo album of the camp highlights below for you to enjoy.

Baking Biscuits with Granny Sue

On Friday the 2nd of August we welcomed back Granny Sue for another exciting cooking class!  This is the third time Granny Sue has generously shared her culinary talents with the students.

Today the students learnt how to make Hokey Pokey Biscuits!  These sweet treats were fun to make and will no doubt be yummy to eat.  The kitchen was filled with laughter and beautiful aromas as the students measured, mixed and rolled their biscuit dough into balls ready for baking.

Thank you again Granny Sue for volunteering your time.  Your passion for cooking and teaching is having a positive impact on our students.  We can't wait to see what delicious treats we will be creating next time!

Here is the recipe for the Hokey Pokey biscuits for those who want to try and make them at home!

Thank you to everyone who supported the NED show by purchasing a yo-yo.
