Reconciliation Week 2024

This week from May 27th to June 3rd we celebrate a significant event, Reconciliation Week. The theme this year 'Now More Than Ever' emphasizes the importance of continuing efforts towards reconciliation.

Reconciliation is about building better relationships between Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.  It involves acknowledging past wrongs, promoting justice and equality, and working towards a future where all Australians can participate equally.

To take part in this event, P1D and 12W watched a powerpoint presentation on the history of Reconciliation Week and completed a colouring sheet which they then cut into four pieces and put back together like a puzzle to represent bringing Australia closer to that goal of unity.  456H made posters which included writing commitments they could make towards reconciliation to represent the theme 'Now More Than Ever'.

Interschool Sports 2024

On Friday the 31st of May our senior school students had the opportunity to compete against students from Frankston East PS in netball and soccer.

Our netballers played with determination and displayed great teamwork against some tough competition.  Unfortunately we didn't come away with any wins but every player gave their best effort.  A special mention goes out to our goal scorers Shreya and Rhyder in the grade 5/6 team and Flick, Aaliyah and Soyara in the grade 3/4 team.

On the soccer field, our team played an intense match filled with thrilling moments.  Both teams showed great spirit, making it a wonderful experience for all the students involved.  We didn't manage to take away the win but our players were enthusiastic and gave it their all.  A shout out to our goal kicker Phoenix, mid fielders Cooper and Piper who were full of energy and didn't stop and goal keeper Liam.

These interschool matches are not just about winning or losing, they are about learning and having fun.  We are very proud of all the students efforts today and the positive attitudes they displayed.

Looking for help please

We are having a school tour video created on Wednesday 12th June and it would be great if the school looks its absolute best for this.

If you find a spare moment, we could use some help:
* The front garden beds need grass pulled.
* Autumn has meant that there are leaves everywhere around the buildings that need cleaning.
* Soft fall bark needs tidying off the bball court.

Please contact Jeremy or Pauline if you can lend a hand throughout the week.
Thank you.

Worlds Greatest Shave

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news from our school community! Mrs D and her twin sister Mandy along with Mr Hurford and Mr M are taking part in the World's Greatest Shave on the 16th of December to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation to help paitents facing blood cancer and fund vital research.

Here is a little bit about why these courageous people are taking part.

"We are honouring a beautiful young lady Naomi, who was always strong, compassionate and brave throughout her life, especially in the face for her long battle with this horrendous disease".

If you can, please help them raise these much needed funds and donate to their page to honour Naomi, and so many young people like her.

To donate to this great cause you can find their team page using the link below.  Any donation great or small will be greatly appreciated.
