Harmony Day 2024
Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Day. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect
To celebrate this event at KHPS, students either wore cultural clothing or costumes to represent their cultural background, or they came in something orange. Students worked in mixed age groups to do a variety of fun activities to create awareness of the wonderful diversity we have in Australia such as painting henna designs on paper hands and creating school wall murals. They talked about their own cultural heritages and participated in an incursion which introduced them to techniques and sounds of African drumming.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day 2024
It was great to see so many grandparents and special friends at our school.
Involvement from all generations in a child's education has very positive effects. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and share this day with the students!
Fun Run 2024
DRUM ROLL PLEASE! The winners of our Random Draw are: Phoenix, Lylah-May and Mason. These winners will have the opportunity to slime a teacher at the event on Monday! The staff members who are getting slimed will be decided by all the students on Monday with a loudest cheer vote.
With everyone’s efforts we have now hit over $3000 to go towards the upgrades of the basketball courts. Also, THREE teachers will be slimed at the Colour Run event! Great work to everyone who has raised money so far, we are so appreciative! It is not too late to get involved, simply create a profile at funrun.com.au.

| The final assembly of the term will be held on the last day of the term, Thursday 28th March at 9:05am. Term 1's Academic Endeavour Awards will be presented at the assembly. |  |
Easter Bonnet Parade | |
| We are having an Easter bonnet parade after the special assembly on the last day of term. All parents are welcome to come and support the children as they parade around their designs. The children will be making some bonnets during Art, however, you are welcome to help them get extra creative at home and make one with them. |  |
