School Notice Board 23rd June 2023

Goodbye
I would like to thank the community for all of their kind wishes on my retirement. I have been very teary this week but excited at the same time. I will miss the staff and children but I am sure this will not be the last I see of them. I wish you all the very best.
School Reports
Your child's school report was sent home with your child today. If your child did not bring it home, please contact the office next term.
Prep 2024 Placement Forms
It is time to return your Prep 2024 Placement Forms to the office. If you have a child beginning school at Karingal Heights in 2024 you need to return your placement form as soon as possible. Confirmation of enrolment along with enrolment forms will be going home very soon. If you have any questions, please contact the office on 9789 3288.
Unifoms
Winter is here and many children do not seem to be dressed for it. The term break is a great time for you to visit Beleza to update school jumpers, tshirts and tunics and to purchase some long blue tracksuit pants from Big W or Kmart. Remember, blue tights or blue or black socks.
It's Construction Time In The Art Room
It's construction time in the Art room next term and that means we need boxes. Cereal boxes, toothpaste boxes, any box smaller than a microwave are welcome. Mr Ennis will be most appreciative.
2024 Grade 6 tops
Beleza school uniforms are now accepting orders for the 2024 grade 6 special uniform tops.

Orders close on Tuesday 1st August.

Orders are to be completed online through this link which can also be found on the form.

Assembly
Our first assembly for Term 3 will be on Friday, 21st July. This will be our Academic Endeavour and Attendance Award presentation assembly. We hope to see you all there.
Attendance
We are very concerned with the amount of absences some children are having from school. The Department of Education has been in contact in regard to some of these. We understand and encourage you to keep your child home if they are ill but, tiredness because they have been on devices late into the night or due to a busy weekend is definately not a valid reason for being absent. Your child needs to be at school. If you are continually having difficulty getting your child to school, please contact Mr Bodley.
Children Late For School
If your child is late for school for any reason, including attending an appointment, you need to escort your child to the office. A child was allowed to walk into the foyer alone and unfortunately the office staff were in a meeting and did not realise! Luckily, we do not think he was there for long.
Current Notices
Sometimes we have a lot of notices go home all at once and it can be difficult to keep up with them. Each week we will try to update you with current notices and when they are due back. Please ask your child about them.
