| Bike Safety | |
| Many of our children are riding their bikes and scooters to and from school which is fantastic to see but......... When entering and leaving the Havana Crescent carpark can you please have a big look to see if any child is tearing down the footpath. Many of the children are still developing their awareness of cars coming in and out of driveways and carpark entrances and there have been some near misses recently. Could you also talk to your children about this. |  |
| Open Afternoon | |
 | Bridge building and coding seemed to be the popular selections for Open Afternoon on Wednesday. Thank you to Everyone who came along. The children and staff love seeing you here. Take a look at our Numeracy Afternoon gallery. |
| Reconciliation Week | |
| Thank you to ex parent, Brian who came to talk to our students about Reconciliation Week and what it means to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. |  |
| Missing a Scooter? | |
 | We have had a scooter and helmet sitting in our bike enclosure for two weeks and nobody seems to own it. If you think it may belong to your child, please contact the office. |
| Green Team | |
| Next week's Green Team will continue removing plant materials from the staff car park. We hope to see you there. |  |
| King's Birthday | |
 | Don't forget that Monday 12 June is the King's Birthday Public Holiday. No child is required to come to school on that day. |
| Japanese Day | |
| On Thursday, 15th June, all students will be attending a Japanese Day at Karingal Primary School. All children are expected to attend so it is important to return the notice to school so that they can be transported to Karingal Primary by bus instead of walking. |  |
| Current Notices | |
 | Sometimes we have a lot of notices go home all at once and it can be difficult to keep up with them. Each week we will try to update you with current notices and when they are due back. Please ask your child about them. Japanese Day Excursion 8th June |
| Picking Your Child Up Early From School | |
| If you are picking your child up early from school for an appointment, could you please contact the office so we know you are on your way. Sometimes children have been sitting at the office for over 30 minutes waiting and therefore are missing out on class time. At other times, parents or carers come early and/or are in a hurry and what their child at the office straight away. Children in the younger grades can take about 10 minutes to pack up their bag so please be patient. |  |
| Bookclub order due date | |
 | IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE FOR BOOKCLUB ORDERS. Issue 4 bookclub orders are now due on Friday 9th June. The original due date is a public holiday. |
