School Notice Board 19th May 2023

Swimming at PARC
Swimming lessons begin on Monday and they are on every day next week. Please wear bathers to school underneath your uniform. Don't forget a bag packed with a towel and underwear to put on. Parents are invited to watch. There may be a small entrance fee.
Police in Schools
Over the past few weeks our children have been visited by both Somerville and Frankston police to talk about the work that the police do. Yesterday the grade 3 - 6 children had their turn and thoroughly enjoyed their opportunity to find out about everyday policing. Take a look at our Police Visit gallery.
Cross Country
We had some very brave runners who represented us at the District Cross Country at Woodleigh this morning. Although we didn't have any place getters they all gave it their best. Thank you to all of the parents who helped with transporting and supervising the children.
Open Afternoon
We are having an Open Afternoon on Wednesday 31st May at 2:15pm. Come and work with your child to see what they are doing in Numeracy. They would love for you to visit.
School Photos
This year, the school photos will be on Monday 29th May.

Parent, Teacher and Student Conferences and SSGs.
Parent, Teacher and Student Conferences for grades P/1D and 5/6H will take place on Wednesday, 21st June. As Miss Worland and Miss Smith will be on leave, their conferences will take place over the next few weeks. Notices about the interviews will go home soon. If your child has a regular SSG meeting, other arrangements may be made.
Evacuation Drill
For your information, we will be having an evacuation drill within the next few weeks. Teachers will discuss this drill with the children after it occurs.
Gardening
Next week's gardening task will be to clear the entrance to the school via the school car park. There is a lot of dirt and grass that needs moving as well as cutting of the vine near the fence. If you are able to assist, meet in the staff carpark at 2:15pm.
Student Illness
We have had many of our students absent over the past few weeks with either the flu, COVID or RSV. Thank you for keeping your child home while they have been ill. If your child tests positive to COVID please inform the office as we still need to report COVID cases to the health department. All children should stay at home until they are not displaying any symptons. Thank you.
