School Notice Board- 5th May 2023

Mrs Riley Is Retiring
This week, I talked to the children and emailed parents to tell them that after 35 years of teaching, with 25 of them spent at Karingal Heights Primary School, that I have made the decision to retire at the end of term 2.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my career as a teacher and principal but it is now time to move on and do other things such as read, garden, travel in our caravan and go back to school to complete a Family History course, one of my passions.

The Department of Education has started the process of looking for a new principal and all going well, an announcement will be made of a new appointment towards the end of this term.

Gardening Fridays
There is a lot parents and carers can do to help at school and one of the things is gardening. Every second week, if the weather is agreeable, we would love some helpers to assist us with some gardening tasks. Next week we need to tidy up our sand pits. There is sand absolutely everywhere but not in the pits so, if you are able, the gate will open at 2:15pm for you to give us a hand. As you will volunteering, you will need a Working With Children's Clearance.
