School Notice Board - 8th October

Cooking Classes 

We are delighted to offer your family opportunity to particpate in the School Breakfast Clubs Cooking Classes program. Places are limited. See main article for more detail. 

 

Assembly

 

Be prepared to be dazzled by P/1D and 1/2B at assembly on Friday. It is their turn for assembly presentations. 

Camp

 

The children are getting very excited about camp on Monday. Don't forget your warm clothing, sleeping bag, lunch, snack and a drink bottle for day 1. Don't forget old clothes for the 'Mud Run'. Please be at school at 8:30am so that the bus can leave on time. 

Choc Top Ice Creams

 

Order forms and money for the Choc Top Ice Cream treat need to be handed in by 9:00am on Thursday 13th October. Late orders cannot be accepted.

Hats

 

It is now time for you child to be wearing a broad brimmed blue hat at school during recess, lunch and sport activities. If your child does not bring a hat to school they will be sitting under the shaded deck area during play times. Remember, 'No Hat, No Play!'

Third Prep Transition Day

Our next prep transition session for our 2023 Foundation students is on Thursday 13th October.  Children who have enroled will be invited to attend these sessions. If you have not enroled it is time to do so. Pauline is waiting for your call.

Do you want to do some cooking with your children after school? Read on, but hurry, places are limited.

Get Active Victoria assistance

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program is NOW OPEN! Do your children love sport and getting active? You may be eligible for up to $200 to put towards the cost of your child’s participation in sport and active recreation activities.
Does your family or child have a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card?

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and active recreation activities by providing financial support for the cost of membership and registration fees. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each. 

Special consideration also applies for children residing in care services as well as temporary or provisional visa holders, undocumented migrants or international students.

Student scholarships

Scholarships are available for eligible students in Grade 4 to Year 11, and for Year 12 students planning to undertake tertiary studies in 2023.

The Department of Education and Training administers a number of scholarships that are available to eligible students who are currently enrolled in Grade 4 to Year 12 in 2022.

Applicants for these scholarships will be evaluated on their:

  • participation in school activities
  • community involvement
  • academic record for the current year.

Scholarships are either one-off payments or cover the duration of the student’s course or annual study.

Many of these scholarships have specific eligibility criteria so please refer to individual applications for more information. Applications are open and close on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
