2022 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

On Tuesday, an email was sent to a member of all our families with a link and a pin to access the annual Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey. We would like as many parents as possible to complete this survey. Please access your email for more information.

Bike Safety Program

From Tuesday 6th till Thursday 8th of September, the grade 3-6 children will be participating in a bike safety program.

If your child has a bike at home, they are invited to bring it to school on those days to use with the program.

4/5/6 Camp Forms

Further camp forms went home with students today. These forms include camp rules that we would like you to read with your child and a list of what to bring and what not to bring on camp. Very important reading.

Also, if you have any medical forms to be returned to the office, please do so as soon on Tuesday.

If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Footy Day

One of our favourite days of the year is Footy Day and it is on Friday 9th September. Children dress in their favourite team colours, whether it be AFL, soccer or rugby. A parade for parents will take place at 9:15am and the children will be involved in different activities during the day.

Forms for a special Footy Day lunch went home yesterday and these need to back to school by Wednesday.

Come on the Pies!

Father's Day Breakfast

How lovely it was to see so many of our dads, granddads and other special males in our children's lives come to breakfast this morning. Thank you to Mr Bodley for cooking all of the eggs and bacon and to the rest of our wonderful staff for setting up and cleaning up.
Please take a look at our photo gallery for more photos.

Melbourne Zoo Excursion
We went to the Melbourne Zoo and we LOVED IT! Thank you Anglicare and friends for making this possible. Take a look at the photo gallery.

Second Prep Transition Day

Our second prep transition session for our 2023 Foundation students is on Thursday 8th September. Children who have enroled will be invited to attend these sessions. If you have not enroled it is time to do so. Pauline is waiting for your call.

Lateness to School

We are having many families arriving to begin their day at school way after 9:00am. Our school gate opens at 8:45am and the first bell rings at 8:55am. The children should be inside, ready to begin their day at 9:00am. For the next 60 minutes there is a constant stream of children arriving to school late. If your child arrives at school 15 minutes late each day, they are missing over an hour of school a week. This quickly adds up.

It is said that one of the most stressful things for a child is to arrive late to school. Late arrival means that vital instruction for the first lessons of the day has been missed. The teacher needs to stop instruction in order to tell the late child what to do and in the meantime other children are missing out on the teacher's help. If this happens at three different times in one classroom, which it does, then the planned lesson, along with the grade's concentration is very disrupted.

If you are having difficulty getting your child to school on time please see Mrs Riley or Mr Bodley. They may be able to give you some tips.

Please read this article: "How can I get my child/teen to school?"
