What a busy aftenoon!

The rooms were full of maths games but they were empty. Why? Because everyone was trying to find the clues for the Quiz and getting their photos taken in the Wellbeing Room.

Don't forget to look at our Open Afternoon gallery. You are probably wondering who the prize winners are.

The winner of the "Guess how many lollies in the jar" was Mickayla K.

The winners of "Guess how many pencils in the jar" were Michael G, Rhyder L and Ajay C.

The winner of the "Open Afternoon Quiz" was the Kirkpatrick Family who were the first correct entry drawn from the box.

All prizes will be given out next week. Congratulations to all of the winners.

First in Australia!

Congratulations to our current year 5 and 6 students and year 7 students who have been involved in our Circular Economy project with Martogg and Sebel. This year long project about the Circular Economy and using recycled plastics to make furniture finally came to fruition on Wednesday when we were presented with new chairs for two of our classrooms. These chairs have been made totally from recycled plastic material, including some brought to school by the children themselves. On Wednesday, representatives from Martogg and Sebel, Sally, a sustainability ambassador, along with Peta Murphy and a representative from Paul Edbrooke's office came to us for the presentation. The children were a little overawed to begin with but were well representated by Matilda and Keira who gave a fantastic speech about the project. We are very proud to have been the first school in Australia to have these chairs and to have been involved in this important project. Well done to Mr Hurford and the students involved.

SWPBS focus

The School-Wide Possitive Behaiour focus for this week is a bassed around the Resilient Ralph school value.

Please discuss the benifits that 'ATTEMPTING CHALLENGING TASKS' has on their development.

Many children will only choose work that they already know how to do or only use a strategy they know works for them, even if there are better ways. By accepting that some tasks are challenging and attempting them, children develop in many different areas. They gain confidence in their ability, they grow accademically and the improve their resilience.

That's why this week's value is one that RESILIENT REX finds very important.

2023 Grade 6 Commemorative Uniform

Dear Parents of 2023 Year 6 Students,

It is your last chance to order your commemorative uniform for 2023.  Beleza have moved the ordering process to an online system. You can no longer place your order at the school office. Ordering closes on Thursday 30th June.

Most importantly are the changes to the timeline to order and pay for your uniform. The online store for ordering Commemorative Uniforms will only be open from Wednesday 1st June 2022 until Thursday 30th June 2022.

Please see attached some very important information regarding accessing the direct link to the Beleza online store and a step-by-step process of how to place your order.

Make sure you choose the correct garment size as when you ‘add to the cart’ as it defaults to a size 8.

If you have any questions, you can call the office or call Beleza directly on 03) 9702 3218.

Kind regards
