Students will not be required at school

Wednesday, 1st of June will be a whole school professional practice day.

Dear parents and carers,

For Term 2, 2022, the Department of Education and Training has provided schools with the option to hold each teacher’s allocated professional practice day on the same day for all staff. This is to enable the most effective and efficient use of this day.

As a result, we have scheduled our professional practice day for Wednesday, 1st June. Students will therefore not be required to attend school on this day.

We will be focussing on Mathematics.

Regards,

Kerryn Riley

Principal

Mother's Day Morning Tea 2022

We hope that our mothers and other female carers received their invitation to our annual Mother's Day Morning Tea. This year, morning tea will be held in the library beginning at 10:00am and ending at 11:00. Our school leaders will help with the serving of lovely goodies made by our children. Tea and coffee will be available. You will be joined by your child sometime during that hour for a photograph. We also hope that our children from P/1D will be able to sing us a song but I know that they will be very busy with their swimming lessons during the week.

Entry will be through the outside library door at the front of the school. You will need to sign in but you will not need to show any vaccination certificates. Masks are optional.

We hope to see you there.

Prep - 2 Swimming

Swimming for children in grades Prep - 2 begins on Monday. Don't forget the important bathers, towel and underwear. We don't want to be contacting parents on Monday morning if items are missing. If your child can wear their bathers under their school uniform it would be of great assistance. Thongs can be put on just before boarding the bus but shoes need to be worn to school. Parents are welcome to watch their children at PARC. An entry cost may need to be paid.

Remember, swimming is Monday to Friday.

Year 6 to 7 Transition

Our grade 6 children took home their important Year 6 to 7 Transition paperwork this week. This paperwork needs to be returned to school by Friday 13th May. Thank you to those who have already returned it. If you are having difficulties understanding the information or filling out the form please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you have any questions about secondary school, if you are unsure if you can afford a uniform, laptop, school books, etc please contact Deb Li in the Wellbeing Hub. She is very eager to assist you.
