A Word From the Principal

The weather was mainly kind to us and we were able to hold our Family Fun, Carol's and Academic Excellence Awards presentation last night. It was fantastic to see so many of our families back together on our site to enjoy the work the children had put into their Christmas songs and presentations. From bells and boom whackers to hand walking and grinches destroying the decorations, there was something there for everyone.

Pauline and I would like to thank everyone for their patience at the gates while you were waiting to check in and show vaccination status. Your cooperation meant things went very smoothly.

Our Academic Excellence Awards were presented and their was excited when the School Captains and Leadership Group were announce.

Only one week left with a much anticipated and well deserved school holiday break for everyone not far away.

Have a great weekend,

Kerryn Riley

School Council Report

This week we held the final School Council Meeting for 2021. We would like to say farewell to our local Pre School Educator, Rachel Weber who resigned as our Community Member after over 11 years of service. Rachel is moving pre schools after 17 years at East Karingal Pre School. We wish Rachel all the best.

We were successful in applying for a shade sail grant to assist in outdoor learning. Hopefully the shade sail will be installed early in 2022.

The following policies were presented to school council and can be found on our website:
     Fundraising Policy 2021
Riding To and From School Policy 2021
     Curriculum Framework Policy 2021
     Inclusion and Diversity Policy 2021

Thank You

We would like to sincerely thank New Peninsula Community Caring for their generous donation of vouchers to be used for our families. They will be much appreciated by our community.
