A Word From the Principal

This week's eNewsletter has some important information in it so please take time to read it. You will find information about the children returning to school, grade 6 uniforms for 2022, mask wearing for children in grades 3 -4 and the pesky birds that are swooping our children.

The weather is supposed to be improving next week so please try to purchase a broad brimmed hat for your child to wear to school. I know this maybe difficult at this time with shops closed but please try your best. If you are unable to do this then please have your child bring a hat of some description to school. Remember, No Hat, No Play.

There are quite a few cases of COVID in the area and a few schools on the peninsula have been closed in the past two weeks. Hopefully, this will not occur here so take all the precuations you need to take including wearing a mask and washing your hands regularly. We don't want to close again if it can be helped.

Take care,

Mrs Riley

We are excited to come back to school video

Please spend a minute to listen to the things that the children are most excited about when returning to school.

Masks for Grades 3 -6

As of 18th October, it will be mandatory for all children in grades 3 - 6 to wear a mask when indoors at school unless they have a medical exemption.  Can you please organise your child's mask now!

Beware!

We have birds nesting where the children enter the school and they are swooping anyone who walks near them. If you are parking in the carpark, have your child walk to the gate with their bag on their head. Preferably, drop them off infront of the school and then your child can use the gate near the school crossing. Just be aware of time restrictions on parking when picking children up at the end of the day. The birds have broken the skin on some of the children so please be careful.

Our next SWPBS focus

The next SWPBS focus is:
'We speak in a calm and quiet voice'

Did you guess the baby?

We had a lot of fun trying to match the baby photo with the staff member but we have a winner. Congratulations to Matilda M for getting all of the photos correct. You will receive your prize soon.

Staggered Return to School

We can't wait to see your children back at school and they will slowly begin returning on 18th October. The Staggered Return to School information explains the days that your child will be allowed on site. Children who are currently working on site will continue to do so. If you are unable to open the link don't worry, there will be a copy in your child's work pack.
