A Word From the Principal

Thank you to all of our parents and carers for assisting your child with their learning. Next week's learning packs are all available from the front of the school. Remember, if you are having difficulty uploading work, it can be returned to school by putting it in the appropriate box on the front steps. We look forward to see it.

Please read the information about the Parent/Carer/Guardian survey. I have sent all families an email about this. This is your opportunity to have your say about our school.

Have a great weekend everyone. I am hoping to finish the jigsaw I started. We hope to see you on Wednesday.

Our SWPBS focus

RESPECT
Karingal Heights PS will be focusing on RESPECT as a value for School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support.

Please read this article to find out more.

Why are we focusing of respect?

All children have to make many minor and major choices throughout the day. They learn to handle them in two ways; a respectful way or a disrespectful way.

If we speak respectfully, and treat others respectfully, then we get that respect back.

The school records different types of incidents and disrespect is one that is happening a lot.

There are students who are disrespectful to:
* Their peers.
* Their teachers.
* The environment.
* Property.
And much more.

We want to acknowledge those children who display respect with their actions.

2021 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

WE WANT OUR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS/GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst  parents/caregivers/guardians (previously known as the Parent Opinion Survey). It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible learning. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

One parent from each family will be invited to participate in this year’s survey.  All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year, the Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday 19th July to Sunday 22nd August.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

Please contact Mrs Riley if you would like more information.
