A Word From the Principal

The end of term 2 is upon us and we are all looking forward to the continued easing of COVID restrictions. As always it has been a busy term and we have completed a lot.
  • Children in grades 4 - 6 completed the Attitudes to School Survey
  • We had District Field Athletics with a number of our children advancing to the next step
  • Children in grades 3 and 5 completed NAPLAN testing
  • The junior school was visited by Peta Murphy MP for National Simultaneous Story Time
  • Taikoz (Japanese Drumming) performed for us
  • Parents and students joined their teachers over WEBEX for their conferences
  • Prep-2 had swimming lessons at PARC
  • We went into remote learning for two weeks
  • The classrooms used by the SDS along with the Playgroup room were painted and had new carpet installed.
  • Special lunch

Many other things happened but this is just a glimpse. Next term's planning is well underway and we look forward to more interesting things happening.

Have a lovely safe holiday and we will see you all next term.

SWPBS

Children in grade 3/4S were very excited when they learnt that they had earned enough tickets to go to level 2 of SWPBS awards. They could have chosen to have a disco party but no, they chose to paint Mr Hurford's face. And what a great job they did too.

Thank you Mr Hurford for being a great sport!

The Art Room Needs Your Help

Next term is Construction Term and we need boxes. Children will be participating in a construction unit next term in the art room and we need boxes, cardboard cylinders and egg cartons. (No toilet rolls allowed). Can you begin collecting these during the holiday and please send them to school next term. It will greatly be appreciated.
