A Word From the Principal

I would like to thank Paul Edbrooke once again for coming to Karingal Heights to present our School and House Captains with their badges. It is always great to be able to acknowledge our leaders of the school.

Thank you to the families of our grade 6 children for picking up their commemerative uniforms so quickly. It makes Pauline's financial tasks a lot easier.

We have a few things coming up this term that you need to put into your calendar or you can regularly check the events calendar on the website. Before the end of term their is a Working Bee, the Swimming Carnival, District Athletics for the senior students and the dentist will be making a visit. Keep an eye out for the forms.

Have a great week,

Kerryn Riley

It is time for the 2021 School Council elections. We will have one parent vacancy to fill this year. If you would like to be on school council, nomination forms will be available from the office on Monday, 22nd February. You can have someone nominate you or you can self nominate. The closing date for nominations in Monday, 1st March at 4:00pm. Nomination forms need to be handed in to either Kerryn Riley or Pauline Horton at the office where you will be given a receipt for it.

If there are more nominations recieved than there are vacancies on council, a ballot will be conducted.

Please contact the office for further information.

We are having a working bee!

We are having an after school working bee so please book it into your diary! We are having a working bee on Friday 12th March from 3:30pm - 6:00pm. We have been collecting a lot of furniture, cupboards, old shelves, etc that need moving and putting into skips so we need quite a few strong adults to assist. There is also some mulch to move. We will finish off with a sausage sizzle and a chat. Unfortunately, no power tools are allowed unless they are battery operated.  All children must be accompanied by an adult. We hope to see you here.

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support

KHPS are very proud of the way all the student's have embrassed SWPBS. You can help support them at home. Over the past few weeks, we have been focusing on kind language, which comes under our value of RESPECT.

The school has focused on:
The words we choose
Our body language
Our tone of voice.

You can help by reminding your child about the importance of kind words, tone and body language. Swearning is not an acceptable behaviour choice.

Family Facebook Page

Don't for get that we have a Karingal Heights Family Page. Our families remind each other of upcoming events. This is a private page but you are welcome to join.
