A Word From the Principal
Wow! How things can change very quickly. One minute I was planning for School Council Elections, the next Mr Bodley and I are contacting parents.
Hopefully, this lockdown will be short and sharp and all of our lovely children and staff will be back at school on Thursday. Teachers will be preparing extra tasks for your child just in case. It is difficult telling parents that their child is not eligible to be supervised at school and I know it must be very difficult to supervise them at home whilst working. Our staff who have children need to do this also.
My advice is to stick to your routines. Get your children out of bed when they would normally get up, get them ready for school as you would normally do, make a little timetable including breaks and follow it as closely as possible. If your child finishes the work sent home then spend some time playing outside, go for a walk, to the park, do some cooking. Go to bed at the usual time. A routine, especially a get out of and back into bedtime routine will help in the transition back to school.
If anyone needs assistance please don't hesitate to contact us. Natalie and Naomi from the Wellbeing Hub, although not on site, will be available to talk to also. You can find their details on the staff contact page on our Websafe.
Take care,
Kerryn Riley
