A Word From the Principal 23

Even though this year is almost at an end, things are still happening. Pauline has been very busy in the office getting things booked for next year. Camp, Musica Viva, Digibone, School Photos, Sempler Dental, Glasses For Kids and even camp 2021 have all had their dates set. It might look like we are slowing down but we are definately not.

Don't forget that Parent Payment day is Thursday, 21st Janaury. Pauline and I will be here busily getting the new year started. It would be great if everyone could make a start on payments on that day.

Have a great weekend, the weather looks as though it will be beautiful,

Kerryn

Helpful Elves

We have had some lovely helpful elves giving out Christmas cards this week. I love hearing the jingling bells coming down the corridor.

Grade 6 Graduation

Please read this important information about Grade 6 Graduation

Hello Parents and Carers of our Grade 6 graduating students.

This year, due to COVID, our graduation ceremony will be different to previous years. We are very fortunate as due to the small number of children in grade 6 we can allow a limited number of adults on site to attend.

This year the ceremony will be held in the Mini Max (BER building). Please arrive at 6:10 for a 6:30pm start.

All attendees are to enter the side gate facing the Havana Street Oval. Upon entering the Mini Max all attendees will need to sanitise their hands and sign into the Parent Helper book that will be on the bench. Please use hand sanitiser before using the pen provided. All seats will be named. Please do not change the seating around. Please wear your mask until seated.

Only two adults per child are able to attend the ceremony. If a sibling under the age of 12 is going to attend please let the school know so that seating can be arranged. No other siblings are able to attend. Included in this envelope are your tickets. Please bring them with you on the night.

We are unable to stream the ceremony live but will put the recording on our website on Tuesday for families to watch.

Thank you for your understanding.

Academic Excellence Awards

Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions we will not be able to have parents attend our Academic Excellence Awards presentations this year. These awards are usually presented at the Grade 6 Graduation ceremony but this year they will be presented at a special assembly on Thursday at school. This will be followed by each grade presenting the Christmas song that they have been rehearsing. We will share the photographs and videos with you in some form on Thursday evening.

Our 2021 School Captains will also be announced at this assembly.

Hopefully, we will be back to normal next year.

End of Term Early Finish

Don't forget that term 4 ends on Friday 18th December at 1:30pm. Please do not be late in picking up your children from school.

Victorian Government School Banking Decision

The Victorian Government has made the decision to remove the delivery of all school banking programs in government schools. Therefore, the Commonwealth Bank program at KHPS will no longer continue. You can continue using the bank books and deposit directly at the Commonwealth Bank.
