A Message From The Principal
Hello and welcome to the world of masks!
The teachers are trying to get used to the wearing of masks and I think a little competition might start soon to see who has the best. Mr Hurford first wore his Brisbane Bears scarf and Miss Smith a Melbourne Vixen scarf but have now decided they are too hot to wear. Today I came wearing daisies. It takes a lot of getting used to but they are for the greater good.
At this stage staff do not have to wear masks when working with the children. The reason for this is that children receive a lot of information by reading faces and could miss out on this if they can't see our mouths.
Thank you to the parents and carers who are staying in their cars when dropping their children off at school for on-site learning.
Thank you also to the parents who have been dropping off and picking up work from the box on the step at the front of the school and not entering the office. If you do need to come into the office, please contact us before hand as we may be able to help you on the phone and please respect us by wearing a mask as we will do when talking to you face to face.
Stay safe and we hope to see you all soon.
