First in Australia!

Congratulations to our current year 5 and 6 students and year 7 students who have been involved in our Circular Economy project with Martogg and Sebel.

This year long project about the Circular Economy and using recycled plastics to make furniture finally came to fruition on Wednesday when we were presented with new chairs for two of our classrooms. These chairs have been made totally from recycled plastic material, including some brought to school by the children themselves. On Wednesday, representatives from Martogg and Sebel, Sally, a sustainability ambassador, along with Peta Murphy and a representative from Paul Edbrooke's office came to us for the presentation. The children were a little overawed to begin with but were well representated by Matilda and Keira who gave a fantastic speech about the project. We are very proud to have been the first school in Australia to have these chairs and to have been involved in this important project. Well done to Mr Hurford and the students involved.
